Parcel sorting system installed in 2 weeks

“What usually takes time was incredibly fast.”
Solutions deployed
for Nationex
Objective: achieve an operational installation in 1 month maximum.
Nationex, a Canadian leader in sustainable transport, manages over 220,000 parcels per week.
With Black Friday approaching, the company needed to equip its Montreal hub with a complete sorting system, capable of handling all formats... and within a record time. The challenge for BOA Concept: install a complete conveyor and its sorting equipment, compatible with envelopes, documents, irregular formats, and oversized parcels, in a very short timeframe, without disrupting the hub's operations.

BOA Concept: an agile, easy-to-deploy solution
BOA Concept deployed ready-to-use modules: pre-wired, pre-tested conveyors delivered in a plug-and-play setup, allowing immediate installation. The built-in intelligence, designed without a programmable logic controller, uses autonomous modules automatically recognised by the supervision software. This approach eliminates complex programming and ensures virtually instant start-up. The system’s simplified architecture then made it easy for both operational and IT teams to take control and quickly use the installation. The project relied on close collaboration between Nationex’s IT teams, Boa Concept experts, and Electrotech Automatisation Industrielle, Granby (electrical integration), whose electrification work was particularly praised. Thanks to CSA-certified quick-connect connections, every step of the installation was completed with a speed and smoothness rarely seen in this type of deployment.
In just 2 weeks, Nationex gained a scalable installation that will sustainably optimise their supply chain performance.
“A pleasant experience from start to finish. It was a challenge for everyone, but when two skilled teams work together, it leads to exceptional results.”
