The young sprout has grown
Boa Concept, founded in 2012 and based on the concept of the Plug-and-Carry® smart modular conveyor system, will close its 2016 fiscal year with a turnover of around 6.5 million euros, almost twice the past year which was € 3.5 million.
Indeed, the specialist of the smart modular conveyor installed this year, 1600 meters of conveyors for its historic customer Oscaro.com. The installation, spread over two 5000 m² cells, also includes automatic packaging and labelling machines. Another important installation (2000 m of conveyors) was put in place by Boa Concept, this time in Germany on behalf of a French company. Other projects, of more “reasonable” sizes, also resulted in the year. Boa Concept had to shift one of its installations in early 2017. At the same time, the company developed new interfaces to drive Qimarox elevators, packaging machines (E3neo and B + Equipment), As well as document filings, all connected to Boa Concept’s patented steering system.
At the beginning of 2016, the company had already anticipated this big activity and had moved into new industrial premises of 2000 m². Boa Concept has also recruited around fifteen people in various services (production, accounting, trade) and will expand its current site of Saint-Etienne in January 2017 to reach a total surface area of 3200 m².
Second project for the coming year, opening to the industrial market in particular with the aim of developing its heavy load business with the Plug-and-Carry® Heavy Load. Finally, the company wants to expand internationally and more specifically in the Benelux region where Boa Concept wants to open a subsidiary. Development in Germany is also under way and discussions with Spanish and Portuguese integrators have been initiated.
